كمبالا، الغد السوداني – انطلقت قمة برنامج التنمية الزراعية الشاملة لأفريقيا (CAADP) التابعة للاتحاد الأفريقي في منتجع كومنولث مونيونيو بكمبالا، أوغندا، في الفترة من 9 إلى 11 يناير 2024. شارك في القمة أكثر من 2000 مندوب، من بينهم رؤساء دول وخبراء زراعيون وشركاء تنمية، بهدف اعتماد استراتيجية جديدة وخطة عمل للبرنامج للفترة 2026-2035.

وأشارت رئيسة الوزراء الأوغندية، روبينا نابانيا، خلال كلمتها الافتتاحية، إلى ضرورة تقليل اعتماد أفريقيا على واردات الغذاء، معتبرة أن استيراد قارة تملك 65% من الأراضي الصالحة للزراعة المتبقية في العالم لما قيمته 100 مليار دولار من الغذاء سنوياً أمر “غير مقبول”.
تناولت القمة قضايا حيوية تشمل تعزيز الإنتاجية الزراعية، تطوير سلاسل القيمة، تشجيع التجارة، ودفع عجلة النمو الاقتصادي عبر إزالة الحواجز التجارية. كما تم التركيز على دعم الفئات المهمشة كالنساء والشباب لتحقيق تنمية زراعية شاملة ومستدامة.
