أوضح المهندس محمد عبده محمد محمود مدير هيئة حلفا الجديدة الزراعية أن زراعة محصول القمح للعروة الشتوية بمشروع حلفا الجديدة الزراعي في المساحة المحددة بــ(70) ألف فدان شارفت على النهاية والتي تتم بتمويل من البنك الزراعي، الى جانب زراعة 5 الآف فدان بمحصول زهرة الشمس مشيرا إلى عدم وصول كل الكميات المطلوبة من سماد اليوريا لزراعة القمح.
وقال عبده في تصريح لــ(سونا) إن إنتاجية محصول القطن بلغت (12) قنطار للفدان في المساحة المزروعة البالغة 41 ألف و945 فدان بينما بلغت الإنتاجية في محصول الذرة 2/1 طن للفدان في المساحة المزروعة البالغة 47 ألف و920 فدان.
و أشار الى ان عمليات الحصاد جارية لمحصولي الفول السوداني في مساحة 39الف و900 فدان ومحصول العدسية 18 الف و495 فدان مؤكدا استقرار الموسم الزراعي بشقيه الصيفي والشتوي..
من جانبه اثنى المهندس الفاضل ابوالقاسم مدير ادارة نقل التقانة والارشاد الزراعي بهيئة حلفا الجديدة الزراعية على جهود المزارعين والتزامهم بتطبيق التقانات الكاملة في المحاصيل المختلفة الى جانب المعلومات الموصى بها من قبل هيئة البحوث الزراعية .
وأكد الفاضل نجاح الموسم الزراعي بدرجة كبيرة . وأضاف أن الأسعار غير مجزية خاصة محصول القطن بالرغم من التكاليف العالية للزراعة معربا عن تقديره لادارة الهيئة وشركاء الانتاج والمزارعين بالمشروع لجهودهم وتعاونهم في استقرار ونجاح الموسم الصيفي وحرصهم علي نجاح الموسم الشتوي
