وخلال زيارة معالي المدير العام لمدينة بورسودان التقى بالحكومة والبعثات الدبلوماسية وكافة شركاء التنمية لأجل تفعيل وتوسيع عمل المنظمة بالسودان، ولدى لقاء معالي البروفيسور الدخيري بمعالي الدكتور أبو بكر عمر البشرى وزير الزراعة والغابات تباحثا حول التحضيرات الجارية لإنجاح الموسم الزراعي وسبل التنسيق بين الوزارة والمنظمة العربية للتنمية الزراعية، كما أكد معالي الوزير دعمه لأنشطة المنظمة القائمة في السودان التي تتركز في الوقت الحالي في مشروع حلفا الزراعي وفي ولاية البحر الأحمر لتتوسع وتصل كافة المناطق الزراعية الواعدة، بما يسهم في دفع أهداف التنمية الزراعية المتوازنة وتحقيق الأمن الغذائي المستدام.
كما التقى معاليه بمعالي الدكتور جبريل إبراهيم وزير المالية والتخطيط الاقتصادي بجمهورية السودان، وفي حضور وزير الزراعة والغابات ووزيرة الصناعة ورؤساء بعض البنوك التقى معالي البروفيسور بسعادة الفريق إبراهيم جابر عضو مجلس السيادة ومسئول الملف الاقتصادي، وركز اللقاء على دور المنظمة المهم في السودان وضرورة التوسع في برامجها خاصة وأن السودان هو دولة المقر ويمتلك الموارد والخبرة والعزيمة لتحقيق أهداف المنظمة والأمة العربية المتمثلة في التنمية الزراعية والأمن الغذائي المستدامين. وأكد اللقاء على التعاون بما يخدم قضايا الإنتاج والإنتاجية والتنسيق مع كافة الشركاء خاصة المصارف لتمويل التقانات التي تحقق زيادة الإنتاجية وتطوير معاملات مابعد الحصاد لتحقيق التحول الريفي المستدام. كما أكد اللقاء أيضا على قضايا الاستثمار والتجارة بما يخدم التكامل على المستوى العربي والأفريقي وأن يحسن استخدام موارد السودان مع الشركاء بما يحقق الأمن الغذائي والرفاه الإجتماعي للشعب السوداني وشعوب المنطقة. وأكد معالي البروفيسور الدخيري في اللقاء أن المنظمة العربية للتنمية الزراعية وبتواجدها في مدينة بورسودان ستوسع برنامجها في السودان وتنسق مع شركاء التنمية والوزارات ذات الصلة بعمل المنظمة للوصول لأكبر عدد من المستفيدين. الجدير بالذكر أن المنظمة كانت ومازالت تقدم خدماتها في التدريب وبناء القدرات وتوفير اللقاحات والمعينات للثروة الحيوانية علاوة على تدخلات زيادة الإنتاجية في مشروع حلفا الجديدة.
وعلى هامش زيارته التقى معالي البروفيسور الدخيري مدير عام المنظمة العربية للتنمية الزراعية ومعالي الدكتور عبدالحكيم الواعر المدير العام المساعد لمنظمة الاغذية والزراعة بالامم المتحدة (الفاو ) والممثل الاقليمي لاقليم الشرق الادنى وشمال افريقيا، وتباحث أوجه التعاون المشتركة بينهما ومناقشة المشاريع التنفيذية المقترحة للسودان في المرحلة المقبلة والتي تسهم بدورها في تحقيق الامن الغذائي وانجاح الموسم الزراعي الحالي والمستقبلي وبخاصة في مجالات ومدخلات الانتاج توزيع البذور والاسمدة للقطاع الزراعي، وتنفيذ مشاريع حصاد المياه في ولايات مختلفة، وتوفير اللقاحات لقطاع الثروة الحيوانية. كما اتفق الجانبان علي وضع خطة عمل مشتركة بالتركيز علي نقاط الالتقاء المشتركة بين المنظمتين تترجم عملياً بتنفيذ مشاريع ريادية مشتركة لصالح القطاع الزراعي والحيواني والسمكي في جمهورية السودان عبر تكوين فريق عمل من خبراء المنظمتين لتنفيذ الشراكة ومتابعة البرامج والمشاريع الناجمة من هذه الشراكة الاسترتيجية، وذلك بالاستفادة من وجود مكتبي المنظمتين في مدينة بورتسودان.
