اعتاد السودانييون على سماع الكثير من الروايات عن الخسائر التي تسببها غزارة انتاج المانجو وتساقط ثماره التي تؤدي إلى إغلاق الطرق الرئيسة أمام حركة السيارات والأسواق العامة في بعض مناطق الانتاج كل عام لعدم قدرة الحكومة في التخطيط الجيد للاستفادة من وفرة المحصول، ولكن ظروف الحرب الدائرة الآن، كشفت عن مشكلة أخرى تمثلت في عجز المزارعين عن إيصال المحصول الوفير إلى الأسواق المحلية في هذا العام.
٤٠ صنفا من المانجو
ويحتل السودان المرتبة الثانية ضمن أكثر الدول إنتاجًا للمانجو في المنطقة العربية بنحو 705.7 آلاف طن سنويا بعد مصر التي تنتج أكثر من مليون طن سنويا، وتعد ولايات النيل الأزرق، نهر النيل، الخرطوم، جنوب كردفان ، كسلا، الشمالية وسنار، من أكثر مناطق الانتاج التي تزرع أكثر من ٤٠ صنفا من هذه الفاكهة.
وقال أحد المزارعين من ولاية نهر النيل إن أزمة نقل المحصول تشكل عائقا كبيرا أمام وصوله للأسواق، فضلا عن صعوبة التخزين بسبب غياب “مبردات” في ظل أزمة الكهرباء.
وأشار الى الخسائر التي يتعرضون لها بسبب حالة الكساد، معبرا عن أمله بوقف الحرب في أقرب وقت لإعادة إنعاش الزراعة
تدهور الغطاء النباتي
وكشفت وسائل إعلامية عن تحليل لصور أقمار صناعية، تدهورا كبيرا في الغطاء النباتي في 6 من كبرى مزارع العاصمة السودانية الخرطوم خلال السنوات الأربع الماضية.
واظهرت نتائج التحليل انخفاضا ملحوظا في مؤشر الغطاء النباتي في هذه المزارع، ما يشير إلى تراجع كبير في صحة وكثافة المساحات الخضراء.
ويعزى هذا التدهور إلى النزاع المسلح المستمر في السودان منذ عام 2020، والذي أدى إلى تراجع كبير في الإنتاج.
خطر المجاعة
وذكر مدير مكتب الطوارئ بمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للأغذية والزراعة (الفاو)، رين بولسن، إن خطر المجاعة يهدد السودان، وموسم زراعة الحبوب الرئيسي على بُعد عدة أسابيع فقط، بينما يواجه عدد كبير من المزارعين صعوبة في الوصول إلى أراضيهم.
تحذير أممي
وحذرت منظمتا (الفاو) والأمم المتحدة للطفولة (يونيسيف) وبرنامج الأغذية العالمي التابع للأمم المتحدة من التدهور السريع في ظروف السودانيين.
وكشف رؤساء تلك الوكالات في تقرير صادر أواخر يونيو/حزيران الماضي، أن أكثر من 750 ألف شخص في السودان يعانون من انعدام الأمن الغذائي، مع وجود 25.6 مليون شخص في مستويات أزمة الجوع.
