وقال في تصريح (لسونا ) ان نسبة المساحات المزروعة حتي الان بلغت 72%من جملة المساحات المستهدفة مضيفا ان نسبة زراعة محصول الذرة الشامية بلغت حتي الان 60% ونسبة محاصيل الحبوب الزيتية بلغت 20%فيما تمت زراعة أكثر من 1200فدان بمحصول الفول السوداني بنسبة158%.
وقال المهندس عماد محمد علي ان هذا المحصول بدا كمحصول جديد في التركيبة المحصولية بالمشاريع الزراعية الحكومية والمحاور ومشاريع الافراد والجمعيات التعاونية مشيدا في هذا الصدد بجهود المشروعات الاستثمارية القائمة في الولاية الشمالية وتبنيها تجربة دخول المحصول ضمن المحاصيل الصيفية والتركيبة المحصولية .
واكد انسياب الجازولين الزراعي المخصص لري المساحات المستهدفة بمحاصيل العروة الشتوية وناشد مدير عام وزارة الانتاج والموارد الاقتصادية بالشمالية المزارعين بضرورة الاهتمام بزراعة الموسم الصيفي من اجل تحقيق الامن الغذائي والاقتصاد وزيادة دخل المزارع من خلال العائد المجزي من زراعة المحصولات الصيفية
